Fuller's New MDiv Video

Fuller's promo for their new MDiv, "What Will You Do with a Theology Degree?" dropped today, and I'm really proud to have been a part of it. It's definitely one of my favorite videos we've done so far.

A big shout out to Nate Harrison for writing and directing the piece, Michaela Long for producing, Michael Moore for editing and taking care of sound design, Dan Long for his awesome focus pulling while I lugged the MōVI around, TJ Lee for making sure we stayed on schedule and had everything we needed, and everyone else who made this video a success!

In addition to doing the camera work on set, I also got to do all the visuals to go with the piece. This required a lot of tracking, both 3D Camera tracks as well as some more manual planar tracking in Mocha for the more difficult moves. This enabled me to set the text "into" the scene more realistically and really associate the text with who it belonged to.

And of course, no vfx piece would be complete without plenty of rotoscoping and some painting out of some unwanted camera artifacts. Issues with my Mac Pro aside (it decides to crash for no reason when I need to complete a render of course), this was a pretty smooth project and we all are really happy with the result.

Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts on the graphics, I'd love to hear your reaction or better explain the process I used to pull it off.
